At the end of the story I think love won. At first Mr. Okeke didn't want to see his son because he married a girl from another tribe, but one day his son's wife decided to write to Okeke and tell him his two grandsons wanted to meet him. I think Nene won. At the begining,Okeke seems to be firmly standing on his believes. He is really sure that, what he has known all his life, is how things are supposed to be and there is no chance for a change. However, as time passes by, Nene would make Okeke start considering there migh be other ways to be right by writing a letter to him. On the other hand , Nene shows her open mind since the beginning. She never changes her position. As a conclusion, to make Okeke start thinking wether to meet or not his grandchildren is already a victory for Nene. ID 1004765
In my opinion at the end love conquers all but through out the story all the characters Nneameka,Nene,Okeke and the grandsons have some lost and suffer. Reason I say this is because even though Nneameka does marry Nene besides his fathers objections on the marriage, I have to wonder how can he be truly happy knowing that his father is not and he no longer wants to speak with him. Nene as well not be happy for who would be family to know your the reason your husband's family no longer wishes to have any interactions. Also how because it of his judgement on her results Okeke has missed out on his grandsons. The grandson's suffer for something that they have anything to do with and of course Okeke with his son and his grandson's not being able to talk or meet with his own family . But of course love won in the end for Nneameka,s father was not able to separate Nene and their love was stronger than his dad's objection to their marriage. Okeke's when finding out about his grandsons gave him a change of heart in wanting to meet them for his love for the family is stronger. For we can change everything in life well most of it at least but you can never change your family. Love always conquers because love is pure and simply and we do not choose who to love just happens.785032
