In the Ibo tribe, marriage is arranged. In the story, we can see that marriage isn't a private affair because Nnaemeka can't marry who he wants and the whole tribe protests on the news of the rebel Nnaemeka. ID 1004765

Although our views involving marriage are similar, the significance of the title is for the fact that the conflict of the story was based upon arranged marriages. The conflict being the inapproval of the father to whom his son chose to marry. The title is not only a name of the story but a statement of the authors opinion upon how he/she views the terms of how marriage is arranged. 916080

In the story Okeke is outraged and very upset with the news Nneameka has given him that he will not marry Ugoyen the girl in their tribe his father has arranged in marriage but instead Nene who he loves. With the news his father let's his friends know about the situation and they discuss the reason that he has to be sick. Their solution is to go see a doctor which in Okeke's eyes is seen has ridicules. The title contains depth in each word on what the story is about. 785032
